The doorway between both classrooms is opened, and each teacher has planned activities such as arts, building, science experiments and sensory experiences. We play in all sorts of weather, and find a rainy day of running in mud to be as important as a sunny day digging in the sandbox or playing on the tire swing. We love turning over stumps to find bugs, and helping earthworms find a home in our flower and herb garden! Once the butterflies are ready to take flight, they are released on the playground. While the eggs incubate, children learn all about the life cycle of a chicken and count the days until this chicks will hatch. In December, as the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer, families bundle up and gather for a magical evening on school grounds.
